ABOUT

WHAT IS SHOUT?

SHOUT is an Occupational Therapy (OT) advocacy event that celebrates the relationship between the profession of OT and the Grand Rapids community.  If you are not familiar with OT, it is a career in the healthcare field that works with individuals who are living with an illness or disease, sustained an injury, or are going through a major life change to be as independent as possible in their everyday activities.  In the world of OT, 'occupation' isn't defined as simply 'employment', but it encompasses all the roles that we serve in our everyday lives - mother, friend, student, lawyer, volunteer, child, musician, chef.

On March 28th, 2015, we will be hosting a public four-hour event at the Downtown Market in Grand Rapids. We will be doing OT demonstrations, as well as highlighting local artists, vendors, organizations, and musicians.
